John Cockerill wants to grow Morocco’s hydrogen industry by establishing an electrolyzer gigafactory there.
The business disclosed that it has achieved an agreement to form a joint venture with an undisclosed Moroccan energy company to provide complete green hydrogen solutions in the African nation.
According to the agreement, the joint venture would attempt to establish the first alkaline electrolyzer production facility on the continent, according to the firms.
Alkaline electrolysers with capacities of 5MW and higher are anticipated to be able to be produced on a massive scale at the envisioned gigafactory. John Cockerill and its partner will work to jointly create a green hydrogen value chain from the factory.
