KBR Inc. has secured the primary integrated project management contract across BP’s global hydrogen project portfolio, according to an announcement made by the Houston-based company.

Under the agreement, KBR will use its Integrated Project Management Team (IPMT) to provide services for safe and effective project delivery, including individual project performance management and management of relevant subcontractors.

The contract covers front-end, optimization, and execution project phases, as well as management support during construction, commissioning, and start-up for BP’s global hydrogen projects. KBR President Jay Ibrahim expressed his pleasure at the contract award, stating that it aligned with the company’s mission of providing sustainable, differentiated solutions that facilitate the energy transition. The existing global agreement with BP will mark the commencement of the contract.
