The Middle East GCC region has chosen KBR’s ammonia technology for a massive one million tons per year low-carbon ammonia project.
According to the terms of the agreement, KBR will provide the low-carbon ammonia plant with the technological license, fundamental engineering design, patented equipment, and catalyst. The project capitalizes on ammonia as a vector for clean hydrogen, reinforcing the region’s aim on becoming a pioneer in low-carbon fuels.
With over 50% of the market share in terms of permitted capacity, KBR is the industry leader in ammonia technology. KBR has licensed, developed, or built more than 250 rudimentary ammonia facilities all over the world since 1943.
