In order to promote a culture of hydrogen safety between the two nations and work together to avoid hydrogen mishaps, Korea Gas Safety Corporation and the Hydrogen Safety Center (CHS) in New York, USA, inked an MoU.
The two organizations committed to working together by signing an agreement to exchange information on hydrogen safety, including accident statistics and best practices, as well as to promote and educate about the subject.
In light of this, it was agreed to host a combined workshop, webinar (webinar), and workshop in November while also exchanging best practices for promoting the safety culture of hydrogen enterprises in both nations.
Under the auspices of the American Academy of Chemical Engineers, CHS is a community with a focus on hydrogen safety (AIChE).
The goal is to assist businesses and customers in handling hydrogen energy, facilities, and systems securely.
In addition to holding conferences, workshops, webinars, and working groups, CHS also offers instructional resources for hydrogen authorities.
On the basis of data on hydrogen accidents throughout the world and the knowledge of hydrogen safety panels, it also offers safety consulting services.
Engineers, scientists, code enforcers, and safety specialists make up the hydrogen safety panel.
“Through the agreement between the two organizations, we will promote the stable expansion of the local hydrogen sector and boost worldwide competitiveness,” said Lim Hae-jong, president of Korea Gas Safety Corporation.
