Korea Midland Power has inked a significant business agreement with key stakeholders, marking a crucial step in the ‘water electrolysis-based hydrogen production base construction project.’
The collaborative effort involves Chungnam Provincial Office, Boryeong City, Hyundai Engineering, Techcross Water & Energy, and IST, aiming to revolutionize the landscape of hydrogen production.
The initiative stems from the selection of the hydrogen production base project by the Ministry of Trade, Industry, and Energy last August. This strategic move aligns with the government’s vision to bolster domestic clean hydrogen production infrastructure, contributing to a more sustainable and eco-friendly future.
The primary objective of the project is to construct and operate a cutting-edge hydrogen plant in Boryeong City, with the capacity to yield 1,000 kilograms of clean hydrogen daily. This ambitious goal positions the venture as a cornerstone in the broader clean energy landscape, fostering technological advancements and environmental responsibility.
The collaboration between Korea Midland Power, Chungnam Provincial Office, Boryeong City, Hyundai Engineering, Techcross Water & Energy, and IST signifies a united front in advancing hydrogen energy industries. The cooperative efforts extend beyond the construction project, encompassing the promotion of hydrogen infrastructure projects and the development of a robust hydrogen industry ecosystem.
