On March 12, 2025, Miasto Leszno released a notable tender titled “Zakup 7 szt. autobusów elektrycznych wraz z 4 szt. podwójnych ładowarek.”
The deadline for submissions is set for April 16, 2025. This tender is significant for the hydrogen sector as it involves the procurement of electric buses and charging stations, highlighting a shift towards cleaner transportation solutions.
The primary aim of the tender is to purchase and deliver seven new electric buses, each capable of accommodating a minimum of 70 passengers over a length of 12 meters. Additionally, the tender covers the installation and activation of four dual charging stations compatible with these buses. Part of the project commitments includes training 38 staff members in the operation, maintenance, and repair of both the buses and chargers.
The significance of this tender lies in its contribution to reducing air pollution through zero-emission public transport, aligning with the broader objectives of the EU’s Clean Vehicles Directive. Importantly, financing for this project comes partially from the EU’s Recovery and Resilience Plan, emphasizing the strategic focus on environmentally friendly transport solutions.
