As Guy Peters steps down as executive chairman and becomes executive director, Hydrogen Utopia International, a company with headquarters in London that operates facilities that turn non-recyclable plastic waste into hydrogen and other carbon-free fuels, new materials, or distributed renewable heat, has hired Simon Mann as non-executive chairman with immediate effect.
According to Hydrogen Utopia, Mann spent ten years in the British Army and an additional ten working as a contractor for private military firms. He worked with Executive Outcomes, a South African private military firm, from 1992 and 1998. The governments of Angola and Sierra Leone employed Executive Outcomes to combat revolutionary troops.
