European Hydrogen Week 2023 starts in Brussels

Policymakers and stakeholders in the hydrogen industry will convene for a four-day high-level policy conference and discussion at European Hydrogen Week 2023 to deliberate on the most recent advancements, obstacles, and prospects inside the sector. President von der Leyen will give a video message to kick off the event this afternoon. Executive Vice-President Maroš Šefčovič will give a keynote address on the importance of hydrogen and upcoming global challenges, with a focus on maintaining the competitiveness of the EU sector.


Bio Energy Netherlands produces pure hydrogen from bio-waste

Bio Energy Netherlands’ gasification plant in the port of Amsterdam has produced extremely pure hydrogen. With the help of bio-waste, the company was able to isolate the hydrogen from syngas. Since early 2022, the installation has been in operation.


Air Products and Chengzhi partner on hydrogen station at Yangtze River Delta

Air Products and Chengzhi Shareholding, a Chinese high-tech industrial enterprise, have joined forces to hasten the Yangtze River Delta’s transportation sector’s decarbonization.

The two partners opened Changshu, China’s first hydrogen station through their joint company. This Jiangsu province city has been actively involved in the regional development of fuel cell vehicles since 2019.

The Changshu heavy cargo vehicles and city buses are supposed to be refueled at this facility. It also provides hydrogen trucks to a number of national and international businesses under service agreements, including Yum China, Budweiser China, and JD Logistics.
