BPCL calls for bids for refueling station at Kochi
In order to establish a green hydrogen plant and refueling station at Kochi, Kerala’s Cochin International Airport (CIAL), which is entirely powered by solar energy, Bharat Petroleum Corporation (BPCL) has put out a call for bids.
Bids must be submitted by March 1, 2024. The same day will see the opening of bids.
Using a 500-kW electrolyzer system, the proposed facility—which would be used to refuel hydrogen buses—will be able to create 100 normal cubic meters per hour (Nm3/hr) of green hydrogen. Additionally, it needs to be able to increase to 200 Nm3 every hour.
Seoul City to convert 1,300 buses to run on hydrogen
By 2026, Seoul City plans to convert 1,300 buses to run on hydrogen. This year, the city will start delivering 144 hydrogen-powered vehicles.
When buying a hydrogen automobile, buyers will receive not only a subsidy of 32.5 million won but also a number of benefits, including a tax savings of up to 6.6 million won, exemption from parking costs in public parking lots, and a congestion toll waiver for the Namsan Tunnel.
The mayor of Seoul said that as of the 13th, applications for funding to support the purchase of hydrogen-powered passenger cars will be accepted. The 10 hydrogen charging stations (out of a total of 14) that are already operational in downtown Seoul will continue to be expanded by Seoul City due to the anticipated future growth in the number of hydrogen-powered vehicles.
