First Hydrogen vehicle testing record highest mileage

Wales & West Utilities (WWU) and First Hydrogen have concluded a one-month testing of the company’s hydrogen fuel cell-powered cars (FCEV).

Over the course of the experiment, the vehicle achieved its highest-ever mileage of more than 1,200 miles in four weeks, with daily mileage reaching up to 117 miles on Welsh roads and highways.

According to H2 View, during the trials, the vehicle’s power output exceeded 60kW during rapid accelerations, and operating in cooler temperatures did not result in any reductions in performance or range. Two drivers from WWU’s Network Emergency and Metering Services team shared the FCEV and visited consumers six times a day on average.

Green Hydrogen Systems makes BoD changes

Green Hydrogen Systems is making changes to the Board of Directors following the Annual General Meeting scheduled for 09 April 2024.

Christian Clausen, who has been serving on the Board since December 2020 and took on the role of Chairman in June 2022, has decided not to seek reelection. Additionally, Simon Krogsgaard Ibsen, another long-standing board member since December 2020, has also decided not to seek reelection.

To fill these vacancies, the Board of Directors will nominate Andreas Nauen, former CEO of Siemens Renewable Energy, and Thomas Broe-Andersen, former senior partner at FSN Capital, as candidates for election at the Annual General Meeting. Both candidates bring a wealth of experience in the energy and finance sectors, with Andreas Nauen having a background in mechanical engineering and Thomas Broe-Andersen holding a master’s in accounting and finance.

If elected, Andreas Nauen and Thomas Broe-Andersen will serve as independent board members, bringing fresh perspectives and expertise to the strategic decision-making processes of Green Hydrogen Systems.
