As part of its global strategy to produce environmentally friendly hydrogen and ammonia, ATOME Energy has established a new division, ATOME Mobility, with the goal of beginning transport operations in Paraguay in the year 2023 at the earliest.
Initially, ATOME Mobility will supply hydrogen to the road transportation sector from the most populous areas. It is hoped that this part of the business will be up and running by H1 2023, after negotiating with several potential suppliers. ATOME Mobility’s funding in Paraguay is expected to come from the company’s existing resources.
ATOME Mobility’s business strategy includes partnering with operators to educate and promote the use of ATOME’s clean energy in Paraguay, where the company will begin by investing in and/or forming joint ventures. Progress is being made in this area, and MOUs are expected to be signed soon.
ATOME’s large-scale green hydrogen and ammonia businesses in Paraguay and Iceland, which are still on track and on schedule, will be served by this new division.

Companies are also under increasingly under pressure from stakeholders and funders alike to minimise the emissions involved in distributing their products globally. This is particularly the case where the parent companies are from Europe or America.
“Recognizing that the production of green energy is only part of the matrix, ATOME Mobility aims to provide an integrated solution to accelerate the path for transition to zero emission green energy for all stakeholders whilst embedding ATOME as the fulcrum of change.”
