Kyungyeol Song has been selected as a Class III member to Plug Power’s Board of Directors. Dr. Song is currently the Head of Quantum Growth for SK E&S, a division of the SK Group.
Dr. Song previously worked as the Director of McKinsey Energy Center before joining the SK Group. At McKinsey’s Korea Office, he headed the Electric Power Practice as well as the Energy and Chemical Practice. Dr. Song brought solid growth plans for renewable energies and sustainable technology, such as investment decisions for electric car battery businesses, M&A transactions for front of the meter ESS businesses, and entry strategies for microgrid and other ESS based businesses. Dr. Song also supported the Ministry of Trade, Industry, Energy (MOTIE) of Korea as an Advisory Committee Member for Energy Policy.

Dr. Kyungyeol Song
Dr. Song holds a Ph.D. in Aeronautics & Astronautics from Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and a M.S./B.S. in Aerospace Engineering from Seoul National University in Seoul, Korea.
