The Ebro Hydrogen Corridor was presented a few days ago, the Ebro Hydrogen Corridor includes four autonomous communities. It aims both to interconnect projects and to create a large corridor of hydrogen stations.
The Basque Country, Navarre, Aragon and Catalonia are the four autonomous communities that will promote these initiatives. This ecosystem will play a crucial role in decarbonizing local industry, while improving its competitiveness and attracting new investors.
The project is supported by the Basque Hydrogen Corridor Association (BH2C), ACCIÓ (the Catalan agency for business competitiveness), the Aragon Hydrogen Foundation, as well as the Industrial Association of Navarra (AIN) and the Navarra Development Corporation (SODENA). Its creation was promoted by SHYNE (Spanish HYdrogen NEtwork), the largest multi-sectoral renewable hydrogen consortium in Spain.
An extensive network of hydrogen stations
The Ebro Hydrogen Corridor will promote actions in different areas such as the production, transport and storage of renewable hydrogen.
As for the final uses of this energy, they will focus on the transport sector. The project aims to develop a network of 20 hydrogen stations by 2025, then 100 stations by 2030. A network of stations that will allow the deployment of hydrogen in land, rail and sea transport.
