It is predicted that green hydrogen production in Turkey can reach 3.4 million tons in 2050 and Turkey can export green hydrogen. It is calculated that the contribution of green hydrogen to the national economy will be 6-8 billion dollars annually in 2050.
Trafigura intends to make a final investment decision by the end of the year, with building set to begin in 2023. An engineering study for the project will be jointly funded by Trafigura and the SA state government.
