The initiative is part of the bipartisan Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, according to Next Hydrogen Solutions Inc.’s release.

According to a release, the coalition’s objective is to take advantage of a $8 billion funding initiative from the US Department of Energy by establishing a clean, sustainable hydrogen economy in the Northeast.

In a statement, Raveel Afzaal, president and CEO of Next Hydrogen, stated, “We are pleased to contribute our unique technology and solutions experience to this momentous collection of partners who will work together to establish a clean hydrogen center in the US Northeast.”

“With the common objective of supporting the development of robust renewable energy infrastructure in the United States, we are joining an extraordinary collection of industry experts to review and develop this hydrogen hub idea.”
