Next Hydrogen Solutions, a leading developer of next-generation electrolysers for the production of green hydrogen, has announced a $7.7 million agreement for a project involving a specialized nuclear application.

Under the agreement, Next Hydrogen will conduct design engineering (Phase 1) and subsequently provide the electrolyser needed (Phase 2) for the Project. A $5 million purchase order has been received for Phase 1 with a follow-on order of $2.7 million planned for Phase 2 with electrolyser delivery expected to occur in 2025.

Next Hydrogen’s unique, advanced electrolyser design is well suited to this important application and was successfully tested for the application in the past. This project will provide Next Hydrogen with the resources to deliver and demonstrate a strong solution for an application with high growth potential, for example, in nuclear fusion demonstrations, while accelerating its product roadmap for large scale green hydrogen production.

Operating the electrolyser in such a stringent application will provide an excellent reference point for Next Hydrogen’s next generation high performance electrolysers.

Next Hydrogen is developing a next-generation electrolyser that is more efficient, durable, and cost-effective than current technologies. The company’s electrolyser uses a unique, proprietary design that enables it to produce hydrogen at a lower cost and with a higher efficiency than traditional electrolysers.

Next Hydrogen’s electrolyser has the potential to revolutionize the production of green hydrogen. Green hydrogen is produced using renewable energy sources, such as solar and wind power, to split water molecules into hydrogen and oxygen. Green hydrogen is a clean and sustainable fuel that can be used to power a variety of applications, including transportation, electricity generation, and industrial processes.
