NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL) and Rajasthan Rajya Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Limited (RVUNL) have entered into a Joint Venture Agreement (JVA) to boost green energy and green hydrogen initiatives in Rajasthan.

This significant agreement was signed on September 17, 2024, in Jaipur with the Honorable Chief Minister of Rajasthan, Shri Bhajan Lal Sharma, present at the ceremony.

The agreement was exchanged between Sh. Rajiv Gupta, CEO of NGEL, and Sh. Devendra Shringi, CMD of RVUNL. The event was witnessed by several notable figures including Sh. Gajendra Singh Khimsar, Hon’ble Minister of Medical and Health, Sh. Jogaram Patel, Hon’ble Minister of Parliamentary Affairs, Smt. Manju Sharma, Member of Parliament for Jaipur, and Sh. Alok (IAS), ACS (Energy). During the event, the Chief Minister dedicated 160 MW of the total 320 MW Solar Power Project at Bhainsara to the nation.

This joint venture aims to develop 25 GW of renewable energy projects and produce 1 million metric tons per annum (MMTPA) of green hydrogen and its derivatives in Rajasthan. These projects will significantly contribute to the state’s green energy and zero-emission goals.
