Urban Mobility Systems (UMS), a clean technology engineering firm based in the Netherlands, and Nuvera Fuel Cells have signed a memorandum of understanding.
The MOU includes an agreement to investigate the development, sales, and support of standardized zero-emission fuel cell powertrains for commercial applications. It also involves the inaugural sales of Nuvera E-Series Fuel Cell Engines to UMS. As stated in the MOU, UMS and Nuvera will collaborate closely on the creation, testing, and use of Nuvera’s 125 kW fuel cell engine.
Hydrogen-powered Nuvera fuel cell products are incorporated into the electric powertrains of buses, trucks, stationary equipment, ships, and material handling and port equipment. The functionality and system interfaces that manufacturers demand from mechanical drivetrains powered by diesel internal combustion engines are available with Nuvera E-Series Fuel Cell Engines.
Nuvera continues to expand its European footprint and global capabilities to electrify vehicles and equipment utilizing cutting-edge fuel cell technology in partnership with Urban Mobility Systems.
