Nuvera Fuel Cells, a provider of industrial fuel cell power solutions, has received a purchase order and has signed a memorandum of understanding with Hytech.
Nuvera E-45 Fuel Cell Engines will be evaluated for stationary power applications by the engineering and services firm based in Klepp Stasjon, Norway.
Using Nuvera’s fuel cell solutions, Hytech is also looking into developing hydrogen-powered hydraulic pumps and auxiliary power units.
Nuvera’s metallic fuel cell stack technology is well suited to on- and off-road vehicles, as well as many stationary applications, due to its high shock and vibration resistance. Nuvera fuel cell engines come with controls and balance-of-plant components that ensure the fuel cell stack operates properly under a wide range of duty cycles, reducing time to market for manufacturers looking to add electrified powertrains to their product lines.
