Green Hydrogen Systems has secured a contract with Octopus Hydrogen to supply electrolysis equipment for a project in the United Kingdom.
The order includes the provision of two GHS HyProvideTM A90 electrolysers with a combined capacity of 0.9 MW for green hydrogen generation using solar energy. The electrolysers will be housed in a 40-foot container to create a fully-functional green hydrogen plant. Green Hydrogen Systems’ electrolysers will produce around 389 kg green hydrogen per day when fully operational in Q2 of 2022.
Octopus Hydrogen, a provider of ‘green hydrogen as a service,’ is leading the project. Green Hydrogen Systems will deliver the electrolyzer units and provide on-site maintenance, as well as remote monitoring and assistance, as part of a three-year service agreement. The electrolyzers are scheduled to be delivered in the second quarter of 2022.
“We at Green Hydrogen Systems are thrilled that Octopus Hydrogen has chosen our efficient electrolysis technology for this project to contribute to the UK’s independence from fossil fuels and its ongoing energy transition,” says Green Hydrogen Systems CCO Søren Rydbirk.
Green Hydrogen Systems has supplied electrolysers to a number of projects around Europe and, more recently, Australia. This is Green Hydrogen Systems’ second project in the United Kingdom, bringing its total installed capacity in the country to 1.8 MW. Green Hydrogen Systems raised DKK 1,265 million in its first public offering on Nasdaq Copenhagen in June 2021. The net revenues from the offering will be utilized to expand the company’s manufacturing facilities, advance the technology of the electrolysis equipment, and grow the organization.
