Offshore wind developer Simply Blue is planning to build a major plant in Canada to produce sustainable aviation fuel from hydrogen.
The plant will be located at Simply Blue’s Goldboro site in Nova Scotia. This site was previously intended for liquefied natural gas exports but will now be repurposed for this renewable energy initiative.
The project represents a significant shift in focus toward cleaner energy sources and sustainable fuels. Sustainable aviation fuel is seen as a promising solution to reduce the carbon footprint of air travel. With growing concerns about climate change, initiatives like this are gaining more attention and support globally.
