At the NETRA campus, Ohmium International and Spirare Energy, are working together to produce green hydrogen. Up to 52 tonnes of green hydrogen will be made available annually as a result of the initiative for use in power production and energy storage.

Engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) services will be handled by Spirare Energy, while Ohmium will provide its hydrogen electrolyzers.

Ohmium International produces locking modular PEM electrolyzers for hydrogen generation through its Indian affiliate. With R&D facilities in Silicon Valley, California, and Bangalore, India will become a major center for hydrogen-based green energy solutions, according to the business (India).

“We are maximizing this potential with Spirare and NTPC, and green hydrogen offers India the chance to become a global energy leader. We are happy that NTPC is adopting our manufactured in India electrolyzers because it is a pioneer in the green hydrogen industry in India, according to Arne Ballantine, CEO of Ohmium International. We’re excited to demonstrate how fast and effectively our low-cost, high-volume, modular PEM electrolyzers can scale up to service applications ranging from megawatts to gigawatts.

The ability to stack Ohmium’s PEM electrolyzers lowers installation and maintenance costs while enabling an endless number of size configurations. For more cost-effective operation, Ohmium’s proprietary stacking electrolyzer technology enables the membrane to sustain differential pressure without degrading performance.
