Ohmium has completed a research study with the Polytechnic University of Turin (Italy) to create the next generation of catalyst materials for PEM electrolysis. Ohmium will increase its capabilities for future projects throughout the European Union, particularly in Spain, as a result of this arrangement.

Ohmium has designed a device for converting renewable energy into green hydrogen. Its technology helps customers reach their green energy goals in transportation, energy, and industrial projects, allowing them to realize their common vision of sustainability. In this way, the firm is able to innovate more quickly than many other electrolyzer companies, because of its original architecture, which allows for seamless and close collaboration with the greatest R&D institutes to swiftly transfer ideas into real-world production improvements.

The goal of this research partnership with the Polytechnic of Turin is to develop novel materials that can replace or minimize the number of precious metals used in present catalyst materials. R&D advances will make the production of green hydrogen more profitable and will resolve industrial concerns about the future supply of these materials. The collaboration’s first findings are expected in a year.
