OQ, the Sultanate of Oman’s global integrated energy organization, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with KOGAS Tech to explore future collaboration in hydrogen-related areas.
The MoU was signed at OQ Group’s headquarters in Muscat by OQ Group CEO Talal al Awfi and KOGAS CEO Cho Yong-Don. Apart from OQ authorities, the MoU signing ceremony was attended by Kim Chang Kyu, South Korea’s Ambassador to the Sultanate of Oman, and Dr Myungsoo Kim, Dajeon’s Vice Mayor of Science. The latter is presently in Muscat, meeting with Omani officials to discuss ways to further strengthen bilateral collaboration on hydrogen generation.
Oman’s favorable wind and solar resources make it one of the greatest locations for producing Green Hydrogen. Alternative Energy is one of OQ’s strategic growth areas, and in the last few months, collaborations between OQ and world-class partners have been developed to investigate new opportunities in this rapidly expanding market. This collaboration with KOGAS is another significant step forward in the Sultanate of Oman’s future development of Green Hydrogen.
