Ørsted has submitted a bid for the 760 MW Hollandse Kust Noord tender issued by the Dutch government.
Ørsted’s bid involves innovative technologies that will help incorporate even larger quantities of offshore wind into the Dutch energy network.
The Dutch government chose Hollandse Kust Noord to be one of three ares that are going to be a part of the country’s energy agreement for sustainable growth.
The board of directors of Ørsted has already accepted a final investment decision for the project.

Ørsted is already deeply involved in the Netherlands offshore wind industry through the 752MW Borssele 1&2 project. The wind farm will generate enough renewable energy to power one million households in the Netherlands.
