Oxford Flow will supply its IM-S gas regulators for use in the H100 Fife Future of Gas project in Scotland, in collaboration with nZero Group company, Thyson Technology.

The H100 Fife project is spearheading the utilization of clean energy to produce hydrogen in Buckhaven and Denbeath. The project aims to distribute renewable hydrogen for domestic heating, offering a no-carbon fuel source. The initial phase of the project will heat numerous local homes using green gas produced by a unique electrolysis plant, powered by an offshore wind turbine.

Oxford Flow will equip nZero Group with IM-S gas regulators, alongside PRX2L pilots and PB1 balancers. Part of nZero’s twin stream active-monitor station will comprise these regulators. Boasting increased flow capacity, IM-S has been designed and validated for up to 100% hydrogen use. This capability surpasses the UK government’s hydrogen blend delivery target for the country’s gas networks of 20%.

Oxford Flow has innovatively eliminated the diaphragm which was a usual failure and wear point in traditional gas regulators, thereby extending the service maintenance interval to up to ten years and reducing leak risk.

Oxford Flow expects their partnership with nZero Group to contribute positively to the UK’s green gas network transition.
