A municipal government seeks a business partner to establish a hydrogen fuel manufacturing facility.

A location adjacent to the M40 in Warwickshire has been selected for the plant, and the Warwick District Council has agreed to set aside up to £50,000 for the formation of the potential collaboration.

According to a council assessment, the plant might have commercial benefits.

However, the authorities stated that a cooperation was necessary because “we are not specialists in the field.”

According to the Local Democracy Reporting Service, the chosen location for the facility would be next to Greys Mallory, between junctions 13 and 14 of the motorway.

A depot on the playing fields of Stratford Road and Harbury Lane in Warwick is also being considered.

The portfolio holder for climate change, Councillor Alan Rhead, stated that the plant may “provide enormous benefits to this district, not only in terms of decarbonisation, which is an essential component of our climate strategy, but also in terms of commercial rewards.”

However, he noted, “We are not business specialists, therefore we will seek out a partner or partners who can utilize their expertise.”
