PowerCell is poised to enter the next phase of its partnership with ColGar Energy, a British company specializing in sustainable energy solutions and a subsidiary of the renowned Vantastec Group.

The culmination of this collaboration is a substantial order valued at approximately SEK 35 million, affirming the industry’s shift towards eco-friendly transportation alternatives.

In a strategic move announced on June 27, 2023, PowerCell inked a five-year framework agreement with ColGar Energy for the serial production of fuel cell systems. The finalization of this agreement was contingent upon the approval of the product design, a criterion that has now been met, setting the stage for innovative developments in the coming years. The order secured by Vantastec Group encompasses deliveries scheduled for 2024 and 2025, with PowerCell’s cutting-edge VS5 fuel cell systems playing a pivotal role in advancing sustainable mobility solutions.

Designed specifically for mobility applications, each VS5 fuel cell system boasts a 5 kW capacity, enabling the generation of auxiliary power for a fleet of ‘Meals on Wheels’ vans operating in Wales.

Furthermore, the collaboration between ColGar Energy and PowerCell signifies a proactive response to the escalating demand for zero-emission vehicles. By leveraging PowerCell’s innovative technologies, ColGar Energy aims to revolutionize the transportation sector by offering sustainable and forward-thinking solutions.
