Plagazi AB has signed a letter of intent (LOI) with WIRTZ Energie + Mineralöl to establish a long-term offtake agreement for 4000 tons of green hydrogen and possibly e-fuels produced at Plagazi’s German flagship project “Havelstoff,” which is being developed in collaboration with Neue Energien Premnitz in Brandenburg.
Wirtz is expected to source enough hydrogen to cover the annual production of one Plagazi HE-2000 unit, and the parties have agreed on an indicative price of EUR 7 per kilogram of H2.
Wirtz is a regional supplier of fuels, lubricants, additives, AdBlue, and tank protection/cleaning services, as well as the operator of commercial filling stations. Wirtz recently allocated funding and operating plans that reflect the international community’s commitment to net-zero emissions. Wirtz has taken a significant step forward in the world’s transition away from fossil fuels toward a sustainable future by pledging to purchase green hydrogen from project Havelstoff.
