Protium Green Solutions is expanding its national footprint with the inauguration of Protium Wales, managed by Dr Jenifer Baxter, Protium’s Director of Innovation and Policy.
Protium’s entry into Wales comes as a natural move forward for the green hydrogen leaders, following a year of growth and its recent expansion into Scotland. Protium’s aim to produce sustainable energy solutions for businesses decarbonising is at the forefront of its decision-making.
When you combine this growth with the Welsh Government’s enhanced green hydrogen backing, which has lately vowed to urgently decarbonize emissions-heavy industries, the region has been highlighted as a promising strategic prospect for the London-based business.
The team and their growing project pipeline (which currently totals more than £1 billion CAPEX) will be able to serve existing Welsh-based clients from its Caerphilly office, with plans to expand the headcount from its current six-strong team to create more jobs and economic opportunities across the region, as well as plans to scale up Welsh projects to more than £100 million by [year].
Dr Jenifer Baxter, Head of Protium Wales and Director of Innovation and Policy, will lead the team, bringing with her significant industry experience as a member of Industry Wales’ board of directors and an Institution of Mechanical Engineers member (where she previously held the position of Chief Engineer).
