He helped launch the hydrail conferences. He used the experience and connections accumulated at AT&T to help universities convene the annual non-profit International Hydrail Conferences. Held conferences in the US, Denmark, Spain, Turkey, the UK, Canada, Austria, Germany, and Italy.
