AKM Earth has signed a term sheet with Pure Hydrogen’s newly formed subsidiary Pure X Mobility.

Pure X Mobility will develop and supply hydrogen as well as seven hydrogen fuel cell trucks for AKM Earth’s Raw Skips business, according to the term sheet.

AKM Earth is an environmental management services company based in southeast Queensland that is dedicated to sustainability and reducing the impact on quarries and landfills.

Over the expected seven-year supply term, the trucks are cost-effective and capable of delivering “considerable” fuel savings. The hydrogen fuel cells, according to the company, are about twice as efficient as traditional combustion engines.

These trucks will be developed in Australia and will be the first Pure X trucks available. The Raw Skips hydrogen-powered trucks will be used for short-run pick-up and delivery of construction waste in Brisbane, the Gold Coast, and the Sunshine Coast once they are deployed.
