A newly filed patent by the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research introduces a forward-thinking approach to solar hydrogen generation by integrating photovoltaic technology with water electrolysis in a highly efficient manner.

The Concept of Functional PV Powered Facilitated Water Electrolyzer Systems

This innovative technology revolves around creating a functional photovoltaic (PV) powered facilitated water electrolyzer system. At its core, the system is composed of two primary components: a specially designed PV panel and a facilitated water electrolyzer. The facilitating aspect is critical here; it refers to the enhancement of the electrolysis process, making it more efficient in terms of energy consumption.

Harnessing Solar Power for Multiproduct Generation

The PV panels serve as the primary energy source by capturing solar energy and directing it to power the facilitated water electrolyzer.
