Rio Negro will hold a worldwide conference aimed at promoting this clean energy, referred to as the “fuel of the future,” with the anticipation that a National Law would be passed that encourages the growth of green hydrogen in the nation.

On May 18 and 19, the second World Green Hydrogen Forum in Bariloche, Argentina, will bring together business executives, government officials, experts, and members of civil society to discuss speeding the energy transition and the development of large-scale green hydrogen.

The business organisation Fortescue Future Industries (FFI) announced a projected investment of roughly $8,400 million in the Province to create green hydrogen in Rio Negro.

The second iteration of this forum, which Ro Negro is organising in light of the first, which took place in Barcelona last year, aims to have a variety of discussion and debate panels where “the actors can express their message to where they see that the issue of the energy transition, the available technologies, the specific projects, investments, and associations.

A group of leaders is in charge of putting together panels from the academic, diplomatic, public, and scientific sectors, with the director of the province of Ro Negro’s Private Investment Agency in charge of doing the same for the business sector.

The Province of Ro Negro and the Green Hydrogen Organization are in charge of organising the Forum, which will take place at the Hotel Llao Llao in San Carlos de Bariloche.

Electrolysis, a chemical procedure that separates hydrogen from oxygen in water using electrical currents, is a way to produce hydrogen. In this way, the advancement of Green Hydrogen technology opens doors for business and academic collaboration.
