The board of directors of SeaTwirl has named Peter Laurits, the board’s vice chairman, as its new CEO, leaving his post and vice chairman position.

Peter Laurits will immediately take over as CEO and will work in parallel with outgoing interim CEO Peter Schou during a transition period.

“The board welcomes Peter Laurits as CEO and at the same time thanks Peter Schou’s for his efforts as interim CEO during the spring. We wish them both the best of luck during the handover period and look forward to Peter Laurits coming in operationally with his strong commercial drive and putting his mark on the company.”

Klementina Österberg, chairman of SeaTwirl’s board.

Laurits had served on SeaTwirl’s board of directors for more than two years, both during the period when Roger Cederberg was chairman and with Jens Tommerup.

Over this time, among other things, Peter Laurits has been a valuable tool for SeaTwirl’s team in negotiating with potential partners and expanding foreign businesses.

Laurits has a long experience of international sales, of Swedish innovations, to more than 20 countries. Peter has been working within various commercial roles and as the CEO of several high-tech companies.

“I see it as a great honor to have the opportunity and the confidence from the board to work with such an innovative and exciting concept as SeaTwirl’s and to be able to offer the world better and more efficient energy. I also look forward to join the strong and constantly growing SeaTwirl team on an operational level to jointly bring SeaTwirl’s products to the world market and take the company to a new level.”
