SFC Energy released its next-generation hydrogen fuel cell solution. The EFOY Hydrogen Fuel Cell 2.5 power solution combines a dependable, powerful, and environmentally friendly form of power generation with maximum connectivity and ease of use.

SFC Energy’s production and headquarters are visited by Minister of State Dr. Florian Herrmann (Head of the State Chancellery, Minister of State for Federal Affairs and Media, MdL) and Florian Hahn, Member of the German Parliament, as part of the launch.

The EFOY Hydrogen solution’s new control and remote maintenance options are particularly impressive. Users can quickly and easily gain an overview of the individual locations of their power units thanks to the EFOY Cloud. Users can access the system via laptop, tablet, or smartphone, and all critical parameters are displayed right away. Maintenance calls are reduced to a bare minimum thanks to reliable remote access. The EFOY Hydrogen Cabinet, for example, is a customized H2 energy solution that can be used both indoors and outdoors without any issues. The new EFOY Hydrogen energy solution is expected to enter series production in the fourth quarter of 2021.

“Hydrogen and fuel cells are core technologies for achieving our climate targets. We offer highly efficient and climate-friendly energy solutions from a single source to our customers – as a replacement for conventional generators. The new EFOY Hydrogen Fuel Cell 2.5 massively expands our performance spectrum upwards. Many years of deep know-how in engineering have gone into this future technology Made in Germany. We are honored and delighted by the sustained interest shown by political representatives. The Bavarian and National Hydrogen strategies set the right incentives and provide essential support. Moreover, we can continue to create highly qualified jobs in all areas of the company. With the common goal of a low-carbon society and long-term climate neutrality firmly in mind, we want to and will make our contribution as one of the global pioneers of this technology,” says Dr. Peter Podesser, CEO of SFC Energy AG.

“With the Bavarian Hydrogen Strategy, the state government has already laid the foundation for the development of Bavaria as the world’s leading hydrogen location in September 2019. In line with the National Hydrogen Strategy, Bavaria can make a decisive contribution to Germany as a future global hydrogen technology leader. SFC Energy is the prime example of a classic hidden champion, a medium-sized technology company that is already implementing this social and political goal today. We as the state government are proud of such groundbreaking innovation “made in Bavaria” and SFC Energy’s contribution to a low-emission society on the way to climate neutrality,” says Dr. Florian Herrmann, Head of the State Chancellery.

“At SFC Energy, we are already experiencing the successful implementation of the Bavarian and National Hydrogen strategies in a concrete application: the emission-free emergency power supply for official digital radio. Entrepreneurial pioneering spirit meets targeted funding programs, as in this case by the German Federal Ministry of Transport. The result is internationally competitive products and hundreds of skilled jobs. This fills me with joy and pride. The development confirms my conviction that Germany and the Munich district, as HyLand hydrogen regions, are on the right path to sustainable energy transition with a focus on decarbonization,” says Florian Hahn, Member of the German Parliament.
