Siemens Gamesa has received a firm order from Adani Green Energy for one of India’s biggest wind energy projects. The company will supply 215 SG 2.2-122 wind turbines for a total output of 473 MW.
The deal with Adani will see Siemens Gamesa deliver to the project in Fatehgarh, Rajasthan , India on its core strengths covering the production, supply, installation and pre-commissioning of the wind turbines.
Siemens Gamesa had previously signed several projects totalling 391.2 MW with Adani, in which 87.6 MW was already commissioned with the remaining MWs under construction. Adding this new order to the existing contract capacity the Siemens Gamesa–Adani partnership exceeds 860 MW, underlining the status of SGRE as one of India’s most trusted renewable energy partners.
