Backed by the South Australian Government and facilitated by the Industry Capability Network of South Australia (ICN SA), this directory aims to catalyze the growth of the state’s hydrogen sector and foster collaboration among various stakeholders.
The directory, compiled through a meticulous expression of interest process earlier this year, encompasses a diverse range of businesses engaged in various aspects of the hydrogen value chain. From upstream contributors in hydrogen production, storage, transportation, and distribution to downstream players involved in applications like green iron manufacturing, the directory offers a holistic view of South Australia’s hydrogen capabilities.
What sets this initiative apart is the depth of information it provides about each business listed. This includes critical details such as company size, compliance status, and whether the business is Aboriginal-owned. This transparency enables project owners and stakeholders to make informed decisions when selecting partners for specific projects within the hydrogen domain.
The ultimate goal of this venture is to solidify South Australia’s position as a global player in the green energy transition. Dr. Susan Close, South Australia’s Deputy Premier and Minister for Industry, Innovation, and Science, underscored the state’s potential to manufacture and export environmentally conscious products like green iron and processed critical minerals. Tom Koutsantonis, the Minister for Energy and Mining, emphasized the broader implications of this endeavor.
