The plan pushes the company’s onshore wind, solar, and battery storage capacity growth rate from 2.5 to 3 GW in 2025 to 4 GW in 2030. The corporation also said that its goals for hydropower, offshore wind, and green hydrogen had increased.

According to Statkraft, it wants to expand its geographic reach outside of the Nordic region and become a prominent developer of green hydrogen in Norway and Sweden. By 2030, it wants to have 2 GW of green hydrogen. While it did not give a target for offshore wind capacity, it did say that it was seeking “an industrial role” in the Irish Sea and the North Sea.
