In Groningen, the Netherlands’ first hydrogen test network is launched.
Small and medium-sized businesses (such as network administrators, installers, and other technical organizations) may now arrange hydrogen training courses for their employees, conduct physical testing, and exhibit their expertise through the new Hydrogen Innovation Network Groningen (WING). The test network may be located at EnTranCe – Center of Expertise Energy of the Hanze University of Applied Sciences Groningen’s energy transition testing ground.
The Groningen Hydrogen Innovation Network is an expansion to EnTranCe’s current Energy Transition Bridge (ETB) network. Heat, cold, natural gas, and electricity might all be provided through this network.
In order to address the need for green hydrogen experimental space, the Green Hydrogen Booster consortium project has been expanded with a hydrogen supply. The test network has numerous hydrogen connections ranging from 30 mbar to 8 mbar, with the possibility of a higher pressure connection. As a result, multiple parties will be able to demonstrate, innovate, and collaborate on the usage of this energy carrier even quicker.
