Marco Alverà joins Hydrogen Europe’s Board
Marco Alverà, former Snam CEO and current CEO of Tree Energy Solutions, joined Hydrogen Europe’s Board in the latest “batch” of new members.
Alverà, co-opted to represent small-medium enterprises, was appointed to the Board of Directors by the association’s General Assembly, along with Laurent Carme, CTO of Plastic Omnium, representing the transport sector; Mark Wilson, CEO Hydrogen Technologies of the Johnson Matthey Company, representing the industry; Nils Aldag, CEO of Sunfire, representing technology providers; Tejs Lausten, CEO of Hydrogen Denmark, representing national associations; and Valérie
Kellogg spent £3m on hydrogen at Manchester facility
The government has given breakfast giant Kellogg’s £3 million to deploy hydrogen at its Manchester production.
The business is one of 29 successful initiatives that received a share of more than £80 million to help reduce emissions.
Another successful application for multi-million pound financing to test using hydrogen instead of natural gas in its manufacturing process came from one of Skelmersdale’s top businesses.
French Tech 2030 selected INOCEL for its debut cohort
The first French Tech 2030 cohort includes INOCEL. The Secrétariat Général à l’Investissement, Mission French Tech, and Bpifrance lead this ambitious program. Mission French Tech will help INOCEL innovate answers to societal and sovereignty issues for a year.
The cohort includes 125 emerging firms in France 2030 strategic sectors. Ecology, healthcare, digital, agrifood, new tech, and education are these verticals. 38% of awardees are active in the ecological transition, demonstrating INOCEL’s vital role in sustainable development.
A rigorous process led by representatives of the Directorate General for Enterprise, the Directorate General for Research and Innovation, the Defense Innovation Agency, the Health Innovation Agency, and the General Commissariat for Sustainable Development selected the participating companies from 844 applications. The enterprises’ contributions to France 2030’s goals and industrial and technical sovereignty were the selection criteria.
Mission French Tech will sponsor INOCEL as French Tech 2030 winner. The company will work with 60 “French Tech Correspondents” and a start-up manager. INOCEL will get legislative, normative, commercial, and industrial assistance and increased awareness in France and abroad.
