Bulgartransgaz explores hydrogen transmission demand

The non-binding survey is being conducted to determine market demand for hydrogen transmission capacity, according to Bulgartransgaz, the government-owned gas transmission company of Bulgaria.

According to a news release from Bulgartransgaz, the survey will be conducted in conjunction with nearby operators to determine market interest in hydrogen’s possible place in the future energy mix as well as to estimate the demand for hydrogen transmission capacity.

The outcomes will make it easier to plan and build the essential infrastructure for hydrogen transmission to and via Bulgaria, identifying potential production sites there and end-user departure points.
