Baywa.re making efforts to get Spanish hydrogen project
Baywa.re wishes to remain a part of the growing Spanish green hydrogen industry. In addition to intending to enter the energy storage solutions market, the German company is evaluating the best development options and intends to soon be able to announce a project in Spain that will make use of all the photovoltaic potential it has already deployed.
Viritech hires new CEO; launches £5M investment initiative
In an effort to shift from research and development to revenue generation, UK-based hydrogen powertrain solution company Viritech has hired a new CEO and strategic advisor and launched a new £5 million ($6.1 million) investment initiative.
The funding initiative, which is anticipated to launch on the Seedrs Crowdfunding platform, aims to attract an additional £5 million from venture capitalists, family offices, and strategic investors in addition to the £6 million ($7.4 million) in equity capital and the £2.8 million ($3.4 million) in grants that were already raised.
The goal of the additional funding is to help the business advance from research and development of its hydrogen energy management and storage solutions to commercialization and income production.
SK E&S works with Cheonan to build hydrogen bus and charging station infrastructure
South Korea’s SK Group’s energy division, SK E&S, is working with Cheonan to build hydrogen fuel cell bus and charging station infrastructure.
South Korea is undertaking a structural transition to minimize its fossil fuel dependence and adopt clean and renewable energy. South Korea is going green with hydrogen buses and other renewable energy vehicles statewide.
Due to public anxiety that hydrogen charging stations could create horrible accidents with significant casualties, administrative bodies and commercial energy industry operators struggle to build infrastructure. SK E&S entered a partnership with Cheonan City to build eco-friendly hydrogen infrastructure to make the city a “green city.” The agreement requires Cheonan City to adopt 350 hydrogen city and intercity buses by 2027 and work with SK E&S to build a hydrogen charging station network.
Le Mans hydrogen class delayed until 2027
The Automobile Club de l’Ouest President, Pierre Fillon, has disclosed that the 2026 Le Mans 24 Hours will now take place in 2027 instead of 2026 as originally scheduled.
Speaking to the media last week in Bahrain, Fillon gave the excuse that the delay was due to obstacles brought on by safety worries. Reporters also questioned Fillon about whether or not the recently unveiled MissionH24 electric-hydrogen prototype might be entered as a Garage 56 “proof of concept” car at the Le Mans 24 Hours in the future, prior to the category’s official debut.
“H24 is not for Le Mans,” Fillon clarified.
