Germany plans natural gas networks to accommodate clean hydrogen fuels

By summer 2024, plans to upgrade and expand Germany’s natural gas networks to accommodate clean hydrogen fuels may be completed, according to Klaus Mueller, president of the grid regulator in that nation, who made the announcement on Tuesday.

The largest economy in Europe is ready to make a decision about how to allocate billions of euros toward the development of green hydrogen in order to decarbonize in the ensuing decades, when existing gas infrastructures will be crucial to transportation.


NXT Mobility launches new hydrogen refueling station in Dutch city of Alkmaar

NXT Mobility has launched a new hydrogen refueling station (HRS) in the Dutch city of Alkmaar.

After a lengthy pilot phase, the location of the De Boekelermeer business park was designated as an NXT Energy Hub. This enables all hydrogen-powered vehicles to fill up at 350 or 700 bar, establishing the first hydrogen refueling station (HRS) in the city of Alkmaar.
