RINA green lights Green Marine’s hydrogen retrofit plan
In order to reduce emissions while maintaining offshore wind farms, Green Marine UK will refit crew transfer boats (CTVs) with hydrogen, fuel cells, and a battery.
RINA has given the initiative Approval in Principle (AiP), allowing Green Marine UK to carry out comprehensive engineering, field testing, and basic design.
Project Verdant’s first phase, which included a feasibility study and preliminary design, has been finished and approved, paving the way for sea trials.
