TÜV NORD EnSys has established a business relationship with Munich-based tech firm, Atmen. Their goal is to support the hydrogen and e-fuels sector in managing EU sustainability compliance and certification.

Atmen’s “H2Compliance Readiness Check” (H2 CRC) will be a core aspect of this partnership. It is designed to improve developers’ understanding of EU green compliance regulations. It simulates energy and carbon intensity flows in the value chain, evaluates future operational flows for compliance, and offers efficient paths to meet supply chain design needs. A beneficial result of using this tool is an H2 Compliance Readiness Report, which can be produced much faster and command trust from key stakeholders.

The two companies will co-market this product, combining Atmen’s technology with TÜV NORD’s breadth of knowledge and technical advice services. TÜV NORD EnSys will enrich the partnership by incorporating the H2 CRC methodology and providing other services like personalized certification roadmaps and detailed energy simulations to clients. This strategy ensures that the venture covers all bases in reaching EU sustainability compliance.

The CEO of Atmen, Flore de Durfort, sees the partnership as a step towards reducing manual workloads and giving their clients a sophisticated screening tool. She believes that this will help clients to better understand regulatory requirements, making their projects more sustainable, efficient, trusted, and able to reach the Final Investment Decision (FID) stage faster.

Chairman of TÜV NORD EnSys, Silvio Konrad, also expressed contentment with the partnership. He stated that leveraging technology in the engineering phases of hydrogen supply chains can reduce risks and build trust in projects’ sustainability. He further emphasized the partnership’s importance in supporting eco-friendly initiatives in the hydrogen and e-fuels sector.
