The Aberdeen City Council (ACC) has given ULEMCo a contract to convert its utility vehicles to run on hydrogen and dual fuels.
The ACC will operate the largest fleet of hydrogen vehicles in the UK under the deal, which initially covers 35 vehicles.
Heavy-duty vehicles that ULEMCo previously provided to ACC have been operating smoothly on the highways for more than a year. This new order includes extra garbage trucks, road sweepers, and a large selection of other utility trucks, such tractors and dump trucks.
The modified cars use hydrogen dual-fuel H2ICED technology from ULEMCo.
