The University of Modena and Reggio Emilia (Unimore) and Snam have signed a framework agreement aimed at promoting Research & Development and training projects in the hydrogen sector.

The collaboration is aimed at sharing the respective experiences to investigate new technological solutions that leverage hydrogen to promote decarbonization and energy transition, as well as to start training and information programs on the subject and encourage entrepreneurship.

“This agreement stems from the common goal of creating a systematic collaboration between the academic and business environments, to connect research and training activities with the industry”.

Marcello Romagnoli, professor of the Engineering Department “Enzo Ferrari” of Unimore.

The agreement, which is based on Unimore’s research and technology transfer skills and on Snam’s operational skills in energy infrastructure and in the development of hydrogen-related projects, aims at launching joint initiatives.

In particular, Unimore and Snam will be able to participate together in competitive financing programs at local, national and international level, to activate training initiatives involving company personnel and to carry out research and support activities for innovative startups in the hydrogen sector, also by promoting open innovation, social innovation and technology transfer projects.
