The Van Kessel Group of Milheeze has placed an order for five hydrogen trailers. Hexagon Purus, a Norwegian company specializing in hydrogen systems, is building the trailers.

The trailers will be used to supply Van Kessel’s Greenpoint hydrogen filling stations.

The trucks are outfitted with 20-foot containers supplied with special Type 4 lightweight composite cylinders capable of storing hydrogen at a pressure of 300 bar. Each trailer is capable of transporting 400 kg of hydrogen. Wystrach GmbH, a subsidiary of Hexagon Purus, supplies the trailers. Wystrach specializes in hydrogen storage and distribution systems. Deliveries are anticipated to begin in Q3 2022 and conclude in Q1 2023.

The trailers will be used by Van Kessel to supply hydrogen to filling points. Van Kessel is the operator of Nieuwegein’s Greenpoint Hysolar hydrogen refueling station. New hydrogen station projects in Oude-Tonge, Ede, and Dordrecht, among others, are nearing completion.
