Vestas has won its second full Engineering Procurement Construction (EPC) contract in Vietnam with REE Corporation’s 48 MW Tra Vinh V1-3 project, a publicly listed Vietnamese company.
With the delivery, installation and commissioning of 12 V150-4.2 MW wind turbines delivered in 4.0 MW operating mode, as well as the civil and electrical work of the project, Vestas would have a complete turnkey solution.

The order also contains a service agreement for 20 years of Active Output Management 5000 (AOM 5000), designed to increase the site’s energy efficiency. Through a yield-based usability guarantee, Vestas can have long-term business case assurance for the consumer.
This will be the sixth 20-year long-term contract agreement signed by Vestas in Vietnam.
The construction of the project is expected to be completed in the fourth quarter of 2021, ahead of the current wind feed-in tariff deadline in Vietnam.
